That’s why we need you as a Lead Principal GaN Device Expert to join our team in Nijmegen and help us develop innovative solutions and explore the limits of technical feasibility. As a Lead Principal GaN Device Expert, you will join a team of global Device Experts in the Infineon CoolGaN R&D department and get firsthand responsibility in driving device technology development, contributing to creating an attractive work environment, growing the team competencies and skillset, and manage relationships with other experts in the Power & Sensor Systems (PSS) Division and external R&D partners.
In your new role you will:
- Be a Device Architect for next-generation high-voltage, medium-voltage, or low-voltage e/d HEMT devices;
- Team up with process integration to assess process and design limits of e/d HEMT designs;
- As a TCAD expert work on the correlation of simulation and characterization to improve simulation deck calibration;
- Work closely with industrial and scientific partners to assess new process modules, materials, and next-generation concepts.
With your deep expertise and with your strong technical leadership skills you will be able to drive your team to success while respecting different attitudes and points of view. You like to take initiative and strive for continuous improvement with your interest in strong customer interfacing. Furthermore, you demonstrate strong communication skills and know-how to establish lasting relationships and networks.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A Master's degree in Electric Engineering, Physics with solid knowledge in semiconductor physics - Ph.D. is a plus;
- At least 10 years of professional experience in TCAD power devices, preferably with solid GaN background;
- Good understanding of semiconductor process integration and critical unit processes;
- Good communication skills towards customer and internal interfaces and team members;
- Fluency in English (mandatory).
