SPHERICAL is looking for a Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to design the next generation of space systems. You will work together in a small team of engineers and lead the creation of mixed-signal IC’s. You will have full ownership of the design, verification and test of the space hardware you develop. Your task is to design state-of-the-art mixed-signal ICs that power satellite systems. To do this we will revolutionize IC design workflows by moving away from outdated tools like Cadence and design with a modern approach using the best of software principles. Responsibilities
- Lead the mixed-signal IC design of SPHERICAL agile-semiconductor design environment:
- Architect, design, verify and test world leading mixed signal IC design
- Start from high-level system requirements and synthesise chip architectures
- Transistor level design and verification of standard analog blocks
- Spearhead R&D into generative design techniques to accelerate circuit design
- Co-develop the design environment roadmap with the wider team
- Set an example of high-quality and principled design within SPHERICAL
- Support and inspire junior engineers

Skills
Required:
- Strong analog/mixed-signal IC design skills
- Desire to thrive in fast and dynamic development environments
- Ability to work from a blank page
- Familiarity with Python programming
Desirable:
- An understanding and affinity for software development
- Strong analytical abilities to create useful circuit models
- Project management skills in IC development
- GUI programming and design
