The Engineering Division conducts research and provides engineering services to the whole of DSO in the areas of digital and mixed- signal electronics/microelectronics, radio frequency (RF), electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antennas, as well as mechanical and thermal engineering.

Power Engineer

In this role, you will:

Work with system teams on power requirements, including but not limited to power architecture and power budget
Design of power system architecture for relevant systems
Derive requirements and specifications for power system components, e.g. energy storage, power converters and/or electric machines
Design and implementation of power converters (DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-DC)
Work with mechanical, thermal and manufacturing engineers in packaging solutions for power electronic modules
Design test plan and execution of tests on power systems and power converters
Documentation of design and test results

Requirements

PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering
Experience in PCB designs of analog / power circuits with good understanding of designs for electromagnetic compatibility
Experience in one of the following:
Circuit simulation tools (E.g. LTSpice, PSIM or similar)
FEM simulation tools (E.g. COMSOL, ANSYS or similar)
Good understanding of mechanical, thermal constraints in power electronic/electric machine designs
Team player with a passion to push boundaries in power technologies
