Job Description

Skyworks is seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer for its Mobile Solutions (MSB) Division in our Andover, MA design center. The successful candidate will possess an excellent understanding of analog integrated circuits, be a driven & committed team player, and have excellent communication skills. As an Analog Design Engineer, you will be involved in the design of analog integrated circuits used in next generation of high-performance Front-End Solutions for WiFi7 & 5G applications.

Job Responsibilities

As a Principal Analog Design Engineer you will be responsible for leading the analysis, design, and development of analog integrated circuits used in next generation mobile devices using BiCMOS, SOI, and CMOS technologies. Typical circuitry to be developed will include BJT and MOS biasing blocks, linear and logarithmic RF detectors, Over-voltage/over-current protection circuits, regulators, and a range of closed loop feedback circuits. Some developments will also require skills in system level analysis. Any additional knowledge and experience in the followings is a plus.

  •  RF circuits including amplifiers and switches
  •  Mixed signal and digital integration experience
  •  III-V devices and applications

To be successful in this role, you should be fully capable of top-level die development, tape-out, and product ownership and have a strong knowledge of design flow and ESD best practices. In this role, you will be interacting with designers from multiple sites

Job Requirements

  •  Bachelor's degree with 11 years experience or MS with 8-10 years, or PhD with 6 years + demonstrated track record of product ownership/delivery
  •  Comprehensive simulation skills in Cadence including PEX, Monte Carlo, and Corner analysis
  •  Detailed knowledge in standard analog cell design including: bandgaps, op-amps, detectors, regulators, precision current sources, basic logic synthesis
  •  Exposure to best analog layout practices in Cadence Virtuoso
  •  Exposure to commercial CMOS wafer fab technologies, 180nm or below

Additional, Preferred Knowledge

  •  SOI technology & design
  •  SiGe technology & design
  •  III-V device and applications
  •  RF circuits including PIN diodes, switches, attenuators, VGA, and Power amplifiers
  •  Mixed signal and digital integration experience
  •  Exposure to 802.11 WiFi, 5G, and mmWave product requirements

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $122,000 - $231,000 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
