Overview
Modern analog building blocks in advanced CMOS technologies go hand-in-hand with fast digital design to complement and optimize the performance of the analog circuitry. As Senior AMS Design engineer, you will be responsible for the design and verification of the interface between the RF-CMOS frontends and the digital backend. The digitally driven self-calibrations that you will develop, and implement are a key factor to reach the target performance in today’s 5G infrastructure design.
Responsibilities
- Define the system architecture along with the functional blocks for the products, with appropriate HW/FW partitioning
- Design and verify high performance, low power complex analog building blocks to complement our RF front-ends
- Perform transistor level schematic design and simulations of RF front-end & associated digital and mixed-signal circuit blocks
- As a senior design engineer, you will mentor team members in design concepts and best practices
- Supervise layout designers to implement circuit designs with best-practice layout techniques
Skills and Qualifications we are looking for
- PhD or master’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or similar
- 7+ years of RF/analog and mixed-signal design experience, with 3+ years in RF CMOS design
- Deep understanding and design experience of analog building blocks such as ADCs, DACs, OPAMPS, bandgaps, LDOs, oscillators, Delta-Sigma, PLL, and so on
- Experience with deep submicron CMOS technologies
- Strong knowledge on the concepts of parasitics, noise, offset, ..
- Experience with analog-on-top and digital-on-top verification setups
- Understanding of digital signal processing algorithms or other mathematical algorithms
- Numeric programming and scripting with Python NumPy or Matlab
