We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to assist with IP communications systems deployments, utilized for mission-critical military and disaster recovery efforts. This individual will be the primary electrical designer for the next generation of our client's esteemed series modules, and you can become a key member of a team continuing to move new technologies to the edge of the network!
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer - Digital Hardware to join our
team in East Farmingdale NY.
As our Senior Electrical Engineer- Digital Hardware - you will work on the development
of our next-generation products. You will perform a wide variety
of tasks including the design, development, and verification testing of Circuit
Card Assemblies and FPGAs. You will also perform or support requirements
clarification, digital design, troubleshooting, hardware/software interface
definition, testing and documentation. You will work with cross-functional
project teams, consisting of digital/analog hardware, software, and mechanical
engineers, in support of the business unit.

Salary
Information: $110,500.00 to $145,200.00

Your Challenge
- Perform Circuit Card Assembly design specifying mixed-signal technology circuits consisting of processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic devices (FPGA, CPLD)
- Design and develop automated test fixtures to support system level testing
- Ability to debug and successfully resolve hardware/firmware issues in new and existing products
What you Bring
- Experience with one or more schematic capture/circuit board layout tools (Siemens PADS experience beneficial)
- Experience with processor cards and analog interface circuit cards
- Experience designing automated test fixtures
- Experience using Python
- Excellent analysis and decision-making skills
- RTL coding/simulation/debug capabilities using VHDL and/or Verilog (VHDL preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree required - Master's Degree preferred (EE/CE)
- 5 to10 years relevant work experience required
- US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
