ONSITE FULL_TIME INTERN
Qorvo’s Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full time opportunities, as available.
Qorvo’s Internship Program Offers

  • Challenging, skill-building assignments
  • Mentoring and coaching from industry experts
  • Lunch & Learns and other learning opportunities
  • Collaborative team-based work environment
  • Networking and social events
  • Final presentation to business leaders
Qorvo’s
Silicon Design Engineering Internships are offered in our Advanced Cellular Engineering business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Responsibilities May Include

  • Contribute to design of multiple functional blocks including Power amplifier, LNA, switch, power management ICs, or acoustic filters
  • Contribute to design of tunable, adjustable and adaptive RF front-ends that can be driven by standard LUT digital control, or by AI inference models
  • Contribute to design of various detectors for the RF signal path (power detectors, temperature detectors, VSWR detectors, modulation detectors) that can optimize the performance of the mobile front-ends
  • Contribute to design of linearization circuits and protection feedback loops integrated in mixed-signal RF-analog-digital SOCs for mobile front-end applications
  • Contribute to design of dynamic digital control for cellular front-end-modules, using ROM / pROM memory and microcontroller cores, that can adapt to different operating modes
  • Contribute to design automation methodology using advanced EDA tools for layout parasitics extraction, laminate and PCB board EM simulations, to create a more accurate models for complex multi-die modules
  • Contribute to electro-thermal simulation of high-power multi-die modules for cellular applications
  • Contribute to device modeling of special breakdown and failure effects that are not included in the factory models
  • Contribute to system level simulations in MATLAB and HDL languages of complex multi-mode front-end-modules
  • Meet performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule
  • Produce designs with increasing complexity from customer demands for LTE, carrier aggregation, multiple antennas, filters, and power management
  • Adapt to new customer requirements for ruggedness, ESD, and quality
  • Work as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
  • Work with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data

Qualifications

  • BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Student must have completed some analog/RF circuit design course work
  • Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred
  • Software Exposure: ADS, AWR, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Cadence, Dynamic Link
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Self-Starter with good communication skills
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
  • Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
  • Be able to enjoy working in fast paced work environment
