Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Analog Designer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Design/implement various state-of-the-art, high-speed (32+Gbps) analog/mixed-signal blocks for GDDR and other SerDes PHYs. Deliver circuit schematics and work closely with layout designers to drive designs to completion, including physical verification and backend/reliability flows. Drive design and layout reviews to ensure quality of deliverables and mitigate overall risk. Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems. Work closely with various disciplines, including Layout, Logical Design, Physical Design, Firmware, and Design. Analyze electronics system requirements, capacity, cost, or customer needs to determine project feasibility. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.

Must Have Experience In The Following

  • Analog and mixed signal verification;
  • Analog and mixed-signal circuit design;
  • CMOS transistor design; and
  • CAD tools.

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, project, internship, or work experience.
